ROSELYN'S BAKERY FRUIT BARS 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/3 cups light brown sugar
1 1/3 cups Crisco vegetable shortening
4 tsp. salt
1 3/4 tbsp baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground allspice
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/3 cup light corn syrup
4 eggs, divided use
3 1/2 tbsp honey
1/2 cup molasses
2 cups raisins
6 cups flour
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Combine sugar, brown sugar, Crisco, salt, baking soda, cinnamon, allspice, ginger, and corn syrup in mixing bowl. Cream well.
Add 3 eggs, mix well. Add honey and molasses and blend. Add raisins and mix. Add flour and blend in well. Spread mixture on parchment lined cookie sheet.
Beat last egg, and moisten top of fruit bar with egg wash.
Bake at 350 Degrees F, for approx. 15 minutes. Cool on cookie sheet.
Cut baked dough into 4x2-inch rectangles.
